During Islip Town’s 2019 Black History Celebration the Islip Town Board recognized 7 Islip residents during February’s Town Board meeting. Among the honorees were Edward Groce, a 16 year veteran of the SCPD; Anthony Ayhoung, President of the Suffolk County Caribbean Cultural Association; Judy and Norman Daniels, Brentwood High School Coaches; Paula Moore, Vice President of the Brentwood Board of Education; Rohan Murphy, a double amputee and three-time All-League Wrestler and professional Motivational Speaker, and Marian Reid, Deputy Director of the Long Island Housing Services.
