Islip, NY – Anne McCartney, a beloved West Islip Senior Center’s Deer Lake Club member, celebrated her 95th birthday recently! Anne is a dedicated mother and homemaker who worked at the Beach Street School for eight years before working as a literature coordinator for Dzus Fasteners, where she dedicated over 28 years of service.
Anne met her beloved husband, Bill, when she was 16. They later married and established roots in West Islip, where they would raise their son and daughter.
“Anne is a proud mother and devoted grandmother, an adored member of the Deer Lake Club for many years, and has, throughout all her years, lived with grace and respect, and over an extraordinary 95 years has defined a legacy for all who know her to admire,” said Islip Town Supervisor, Angie Carpenter.
