Islip, NY – Laura Amato was born in Manhattan on June 14, 1932. She met her husband Mathew through a family friend, and they were married for 39 years. They have two children, Vinnie and Frankie. Frankie and his wife Joanne have two children and live next door to Laura. She loves cooking for them.
Laura has lived in West Islip for 65 years, where she was a homemaker and cared for her grandchildren. Laura has been a member of the Deer Lake Club for over 25 years. She looks forward to seeing her friends every week, playing Bingo, and attending parties. “From all of us here at the Town of Islip, Happy Birthday, Laura!” said {Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
