Hundreds of residents turned out under magnificently sunny skies for games, giant bubble making, face painting, FREE hot dogs courtesy of the Brentwood Fire Department, music by Latinology, autographs from Cosmos Soccer players, a pick-up basketball game with SCPD officers and Town of Islip Public Safety Officers, giveaways and a complimentary swim in the newly renovated Olympic-size Clemente swimming pool.
“This was a great day for the residents of Brentwood and for the Town of Islip. Roberto Clemente Park is a jewel in our Town that we can all be proud of, and its only getting better with our planned Spray Park and Skate Park,” said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
