Working Across the Aisle

Leading the way to Bi-Partisanship Action

Amazing things can happen when elected officials of opposing parties work together. Throughout her political career Angie has always reached out across the aisle, putting people before politics. Among these efforts are:

Working with US Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillebrand to secure 5.8 Million dollars to refurbish the MacArthur Fire Rescue Building that was built in 1940. This new facility contains integrated communications, surveillance and classrooms for training.

Partnering with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and securing a $10 Million dollar grant for Central Islip that will be used to develop a 2 miles stretch along Carleton Avenue.

An effort with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone to obtain a $20 Million dollar grant to combat MS-13 Violence and to build a new community hub in Brentwood.

A joint project with Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone putting a $1 Million dollar grant to work creating a new US Customs facility at MacArthur Airport along with additional funds to better develop transportation from the airport to the Ronkonkoma Hub.

Teaming up with New York State Assemblyman Phil Ramos to channel a $2 Million dollar grant to create a water spray park, adding to the recently completed renovation of Clemente Park.
