Keeping A Lid on Taxes

Most people don’t realize that the Town taxes represent only 4.7% of their tax bill.  That means that if your tax bill is $10,000, the portion of it going to the Town is only $470.  Despite Islip’s small impact in percentage terms, Supervisor Angie Carpenter is committed to keep taxes as low as possible.

Islip benefits from Angie’s fiscal experience gained as Suffolk County Treasurer and Suffolk County Legislator, as well as a successful small business woman. Her understanding of budgets and experience of cutting expenses improves the quality of services for Islip residents and has also saved taxpayers dollars.
