A Facelift for Downtown Bay Shore

In the past few years Islip Town has approved 17 downtown housing projects all within walking distance to the Bay Shore Rail Road Station. Four are completed, and 13 others are in the planning stages. These rental focused developments are geared to giving young people a chance to stay in our community, providing transit oriented rental units for commuters.

Major improvements have also been made at Northwell Health Southside Hospital. New restaurants and entertainment options have opened their doors in the past few years, creating a vibrant downtown.

Supervisor Angie Carpenter is committed to work closely together with the Bay Shore business and community to improve quality of life for all our residents.
